What is your search process?

We will use the information that you provide as well as our proprietary database of product specific websites to search.  It is not uncommon for a search pattern to include 100 websites or more.

What steps are followed once a counterfeit item is identified?

Once a suspected infringement is identified internally, PPG will do a second review internally to verify the problem.  If it is deemed a true suspect item, the item will be included on your report.  The report will show the item with the web site information and include a recommended action(s) to halt the offense.  

How quickly can an Internet Search process begin once payment is received?

The search will begin within one business day.

How often will PPG issue its piracy search report?

The frequency is dependent on the product level you select.  For our Basic Search package, the report is released monthly.  The frequency accelerates to weekly with our Intermediate package.  Our Advanced Search level is our most intense and rigorous search offering.  We will notify you within 24 hours of a verified offense. The super search will allow you to move virtually real-time to stop the threat and mitigate the risk.

How will my piracy report be delivered?

Depending on your plan, the report will be delivered via email (daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly)

Does PPG provide a free trial of its Internet Search Services?

A free Internet Search trial is available to first time Internet Search customers.  PPG will search for one of your products for one week.  At the conclusion of our search, we will email you the results with our recommendations for removing the infringement, if any are found.

Why is billing quarterly only for this service offering?

Product and Trademark piracy is a chronic problem in today’s world that requires on-going diligence and attention.  Searching for one month simply will not prevent piracy from occurring, and if previously found, re-occurring.  PPG believes that a longer term approach is needed.  With this in mind, we offer quarterly billing rates that less per month than our monthly billing.  In addition, our Advanced and Deluxe search packages include several DMCA Takedown notices, an addition savings for you.
